A tribute video to Lonnie and Faybien. Music by K’bana Blaq off the Finding Me: Truth Soundtrack. Get into it.
This deleted scene stars Eugene E. Turner (Greg) and the late and forever loved Maurice Murrell (Jay). If you’ve seen FMT you’ll understand how this scene fits into the overall story. We caught up with writer/director Roger Omeus Jr and asked him what he remembers about this scene. “It was cut out due to timing constraints. If you remember in the first film Greg and Jay actually got along. Faybien was the only one who caught a whiff of Jay’s shady side (aka turning tricks in Greg’s apartment). Towards the end Faybien finally tells Greg and thats when he takes a dislike to Jay. The scene basically picks up where the first film left off with this roommate dynamic. Directing Maurice and Eugene was always fun because the two of them were best friends. So they would always rise to the occasion of going into verbal battles with comedic precession.”
The tribute show includes memorable clips from Finding Me, bloopers and candid photos of the cast and crew with Maurice. Maurice Murrell rest in peace.
First came the “Deep” video, last week was the release of the Finding Me: Truth Soundtrack and now it’s time for the debut of K’bana Blaq’s “I Hate U” music video.
K’bana has contributed so much music to both Finding Me films, but this was the first video he did for the series. Directed and filmed by the films writer/director Roger Omeus Jr, and co-starring FMT very own Miste Roule (Tammy). The video also features RayMartell Moore (Faybien) and Eugene Turner (Greg). Finally we have some answers. It was confirmed late last night that TLA Releasing slated a September release date for the Finding Me: Truth DVD and the film will definitely be screened this summer in various film festivals and Pride events. YAY! We’ve waited so long to hear something and now there is a ray of light. TLA has also released this new trailer to the film. This trailer is HOT! It gives a bit more insight into the story, but still gives nothing away. I can’t freakin wait to see this film!
We know the question has been asked for a long time now. Although the film was set for a 2010 summer release things had to be pushed back due to some very great news. Finding Me: Truth will be distributed by TLA Releasing! With this in place “Truth” will hit the big screens in selected cities February 2011.
Look for more info in the months to come for the exact date of the release and theater listings.
